This might be cheesy.......

This is a picture of my lovely fall mum enjoying a drink of water mixed with lots of vitamins from ricotta cheese.

It's a good thing that we don't have to do some silly dance to the god that sends down rain. Thankfully we can trust God's provision and hopefully he will send more rain soon. Here is how we have been watering our plants as an alternative to scooping up our bath water. My kids are helping out too. When we finish a milk jug, juice container, canned good even something as small as a yougart container we fill it up with water to rinse it out, then pour it on the plants. Then we drop it off in the recycling bin. It has been a fun activity for the kids to be involved in. Just an idea:)

Box Sledding

Here we are enjoying the hill next to our house. The kids new favorite past time. This box works great for the little ones. All the neighbors come over and you can hear the shouts of glee from inside the house as they fly down the hill. We love box sledding during the day, and at night Daddy joins us, we turn on the flood lights and we go at it some more! Such fun!

Say Cheese!

Hurray we had a nice cool fall day! I was so excited to dig these outfits out of the back of their closet. I love fall weather. We played outside all day.
These are my two girls being silly. I took about 20 pictures and this was the best one. How photogenic don't you think?

Digging for Pirate Treasure

This was SOOOOO much fun. Last night Noah helped me put the girls to bed and I let him stay up and use one of our Usborne Kid Kits. It came with a book that we read about pirates and when we were done he got to use his tools to break open a rock, build a treasure chest and dig out the "booty". Noah took close to an hour with this project. His expressions were great. He kept saying " I really can't believe I am digging for real pirate treasure mom, this is the coolest ever"! I love seeing my children joyful over simple things. It is so great to be apart of their lives. If you have a little digger at home, you should try this. It is a blast.

I Found My Thumb!

Luke is 10 weeks old. We are so excited that he has found his thumb. I was becoming weary of the all night pacifier search! The blanket he is holding is one that I had made for Noah. You would laugh if you saw it in person. It was the first blanket I tried to make on my own. Noah never used it. I found it stuffed in a box in his closet and pulled it out for Luke. I had one just like it when I was little. I sucked my thumb until I was eight. I still have my "majic blanky". Don't worry I don't sleep with it anymore:)
Thanks Billie and Sara for the helpful tips. He is so happy now!!!

GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!

This past week was my neighbor Cindy's birthday. Cindy is a good friend and wonderful neighbor. My other four neighbors and myself took her out to California Dreamin to celebrate her birthday. This is a tradition. We decided to do something extra fun and dress up 80's style. Mary and I hit the local Good Will and found great stuff! We also pulled from each others closets. We met early and put on hair and makeup as we jammed out to some of the greatest songs from the eighty's. Cindy had a blast and we all enjoyed the laughs. Thanks guys for being great neighbors. You guys are a lot of fun!!!!

"I LIKE IT CHOCOLATE MOMMY"!

Our Nele keeps us busy! This is Penelope and our neighbor Katie. They really enjoyed this treat. The other kids stayed pretty clean. They hung out together after the chocolate fest. I think everyone else was scared to get to close. Looks like fun hun?

Chicken Pepperoni

This is one of my favorites. Thomas loves to cook. He made this recipe up from something he heard mentioned in a movie. He will not give me the recipe to share. He says it is his secret. He usually adds green peppers, black olives and cheese. It is very yummy and kids like it served over pasta. If you really want to try it ask him when he plans on making it for you. If you are close by we would love to have you over to enjoy chicken pepperoni.

I am going to try and play catch up. This summer came and went. The very start of summer was beautiful. Days were not too hot, the pools were clean, the grass grew in real slow. Now I change my clothes after I walk out to get the mail, where I look each day to see if our neighborhood HOA have stuck a note in our mailbox to kindly remind us that our grass and our shrubs need to be below the roof line. The wonderful things about this summer was Nele's Pool party celebrating her 2nd birthday. Hopefully next year she will be able to greet and thank her friends for coming. This year all of her guests were named "no"and "mine". Another highlight to the summer was baby Luke's birthday. What a great joy and wonderful experience that was. It gets better with each one! Emma celebrated her 3rd birthday (one week after Luke was born). Emma started ballet and she thanks God in her prayers everynight for "my ballet". She also thanks God for "my ballet" at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And on ballet days you have never seen a child leap out of bed more enthusiastic, ready to put on tights and a leotard. I have to pry them off of her when we get home. Noah spent all summer counting the days until soccer came and on the day of his first practice he fell on his shin guard and sat out half of practice. He had his first game this past Saturday. It was so exciting to see how much he enjoyed himself. He scored five goals and loved every minute he played. I love my children so much. They are such a gift in our lives. This summer might have passed by quickly, but the memory of the good things that came from this summer will remain forever.
