Ugh! Laundry day, Turning Work into Play:)...

This week I am going to be adding posts of our everyday life at home. Laundry is always ongoing in our house. It makes the top of my list of most dreaded responsibilities. Yes it is gross, but honestly I would rather scrub the toilets then fold and put away clothes. Emma is being trained as the head laundry master. She is able to do a lot of it on her own. In the mornings we gather the clothes, she sorts them and transfers them into the washer and from the washer to the dryer. She is trying to get Penelope trained in the sorting, but Emma can be very particular and Penelope seems to think everything is the same color:) Luke drags all the dirty clothes around the house and tries to hide them. He also loves to push the buttons and even tries to sneak in when we aren't looking:) We make it as fun as possible. Here is one song among many that we love to play while doing our chores. We love this song. It makes doing chores seem so cheery!

Check out the new doo...

Every now and then we need to spice things up a little. Here is Penelope with her new doo. She has the thickest, curliest hair. I have been considering my time and how I can simplify things a bit. Penelope's hair made the top of my list:). Well, it was her's or mine. I thought she could get away with a short doo better then I could:).

New Year's Eve, and My Birthday...

My birthday is New Year's Day. This year I turned 28. We took the family to Chattanooga on New Year's eve to the Children's Museum. These pictures are taken on the rooftop...

Out front they had a place where you could stand in the middle of a giant bubble. It was too windy to pull the bubble any higher...

Emma on the rooftop ...

Here is Thomas making fun of me and trying to ruin my picture. Nice thumb:) The kids loved the roof top area...

I had a hard time getting the girls out of the sand. It was almost as hard as trying to get the sand off their clothes...

Luke cried when we had to leave the water area...

Here he is trying to sneak a sip...

Thomas was caught by surprise in this shot... What a fun day. We were so exhausted we came home and fell asleep an hour before midnight. This is the first year that we did not stay up to see the ball drop. We felt so old!

Thomas's Birthday Dinner...

Thomas's favorite is cherry pie so we had that instead of cake...

Tonight we had friends over for Thomas's birthday. WE LOVE YOU GUYS. Jenn and Chad are such awesome friends (and almost neighbors). Jenn, I am so thankful for your friendship. I love that you can pop over and play! Amanda and Kris we are enjoying getting to know better. Amanda is so caring and helpful. She helped serve all of these kids dinner and dessert. It was quite the crowd of little ones. They all played so well and we really enjoyed their company. Kris's mom was able to come along and I enjoyed getting to know her as well. She was kind enough to take some photos for us. Here we are, and yes these are all our kids! Thanks to you all for making it such a special night!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOMAS:)

We celebrated Thomas's 33rd birthday today. Thomas, you are a wonderful husband, dad, and provider for our family. Thank you for always supporting me, loving me, and caring for our children. You help make this a very happy home. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I have finally updated our blog. If you scroll through until you get to the Christmas pictures you will be up to date from the past year. This year is a fresh start so stay tuned I will be posting more!!!

First day of school...

Noah started his first year of Kindergarten this year. He attend's Kings Academy. We homeschool Noah the three days that he is not in class. Noah celebrated his sixth birthday in September. He wanted an Indiana Jones bithday cake. This is what I came up with. Noah you are such a blessing in our lives. I love knowing you more as each year goes by. I am thankful to have had you while I was young. We have grown up together. You will always be my special boy!

Emma's 4th birthday...

This is Emma at her fourth birthday on August 3rd. We had a party for her and her friends at a dance center. She loves ballet. What a beautiful girl you have become. You are my biggest fan, and I am yours! I love you Emma. So proud to be your mommy.

Mothers Day '08

Last year my mom came into town and we took her to the tea house for mothers day. Nele needed a little more practice at home. I can't wait to take both the girls together. Thanks mom for coming and serving our family. We always have so much fun with you. The kids are always sad when you leave. I guess I don't fix breakfast like you do!

Little Minnie...

We took the kids to Disney world last spring. I was so sick with morning (all day) sickness. Luke was tiny and it was an exhausting trip. We plan to do it again sometime with everyone. Even though it was crazy, we had a lot of fun. The kids were in ahh over all the characters. Emma and I stood in almost every line. She wanted to take a picture with them all!

Gottcha Day...

Last year in January we adopted Penelope. She is our little stinker. She keeps us on our toes and we are thankful that she is forever ours. On her "GOTTCHA DAY" She wanted to wear her princess dress. We agreed to let her dress up as snow white, her favorite princess at the time. Afterwards we took her to the Cheescake Factory to celebrate. The cake was as big as she was. She enjoyed every bite. Thanks Nele for being part of our family.
WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH NELE BELLY.

Luke's first year...

July 27th was the celebration of Luke's first birthday. Here are some fun photo's taken during Luke's first year. I Love you Luke. You are a sweet boy. I love your smile fist thing in the morning. I love those big brown eyes. Thanks for always snuggling with me. It was worth the wait to here you say "Mommy" (17 months) . I'm glad you know who I am!!!

What a sport...

I put this on Luke on a cold day. I was so excited to dress him up for winter and send him out the door the play. He cried the whole time tugging at his bulky coat and trying to unwrap his scarf with one hand while pulling the hat off with the other. He finally gave up. He reminded me of the little boy in the Christmas story. It was so cute.

Best of Buds...

These two boys are so much fun. Noah loves his siblings. He is such a big help to me and Thomas. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful firstborn. He serves our family with an eager heart and we all love him so much. Luke is our funniest little critter. He makes us all laugh. We love watching the quirky things he does.

Thanksgiving outdoors...

This picture took alot of effort!!!

Sisters and best of friends (most of the time:)...

SMILE...

This one loves to pose...

For Thanksgiving this year we took the kids hiking at Amiacola Falls. We had so much fun in the fresh mountain air. We love to be outside. Here are the oldest three monkey's being silly as usual.

These two are so close...

HAPPY BELATED THANKSGIVING!

Christmas morning...

I am going to start at Chritsmas and work my way back through '08 until I can catch up. This Christmas was a blast. My mom and Thomas's parents were able to come and stay with us this year. They all helped to make our Christmas extra special. The kids were so excited on Christmas morning. This year Emma and Noah were able to buy a gift for everyone with the money from their piggy banks. It was so fun to watch them pick out presents and participate in the giving. We have enjoyed watching them grow. Each year gets better!
